Anna Maino

Miss Anna Maino is an eye surgeon who specialises in eye movements, double vision (diplopia) and eye deviations in children and adults. She is an expert in managing double vision, with a range of non-surgical and surgical tools. This is particularly relevant to those patients who are at risk of developing double vision after cataract surgery. She also offers advice all aspects of general ophthalmology.

Anna is motivated by the impact that Strabismology and Paediatric Ophthalmology have on patients either by maximising vision or by improving their appearance, employment prospects and quality of life. Anna is a compassionate, caring individual who cultivates positive communication with her patients and their families – she thoroughly enjoys seeing patients grow, develop and blossom in their own unique way.

She used to go to the theatre, art exhibitions and concerts (classical music and obscure rock bands) – now her spare time is dedicated to her young family. Her rendition of ‘What the Ladybird heard’ is passable. The most avant garde she gets nowadays is watching the Tomliboos playing free jazz (she still listens to obscure rock bands, though).
