Testimonials

Over the years, I have received so many thank yous (verbally and in writing, cards, presents, drawings and emails). I cherish all the wedding photos, prom photos, graduation photos and even a Bafta winner photo! I will not share before and after photos out of respect for my patients but I can show you some photos (parents/patients have given me permission to share them during the consultation) or I can put you in touch with another family/patient if needed.

I have enclosed here a selection of the most recent messages:

“I want to thank you for your compassionate, professional attitude and prompt organisation of my tests. All greatly appreciated”. (PD)

“Just want to say a massive thank you to you and your team for the excellent work you’ve done in restoring my single vision! It is amazing to be able to see properly again with two eyes, you have done a wonderful job and I will be forever grateful. Please pass this on to Tracy Sanderson also”. (LM)

From a young woman whose dream was to become a pilot, but she did not meet the requirements because of her eye posiition: “I went to see an independent consultant eye surgeon who specialises in aviation medicine in Harley Street…he was also extremely impressed with the results of the surgery you performed. His report was then sent to the CAA who concluded that I passed. I want to thank you so much for your time and help over the years and for the whole team for being so supportive and invested in my case. I I shall keep you updated on my progress and hope to have you onboard in the future” (She is now a TUI pilot).

“It was really nice to meet you and an all round comfortable process from start to finish.  Your explanations really helped me feel at ease with everything. I look forward to it healing and looking normal again”. (RR)

“I know I spoke to you last night during my check-up but would again like to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU! I feel the words are not enough. You’ve changed my life in so many ways! I can now actually talk to people and look them in the eyes and I’ve stopped wearing my sunglasses as I wore them a lot. I would also like to say a HUGE thank you too the team who looked after me on surgery day too. They made me feel so calm and I was treated like a Queen. You and your team are truly amazing!!! Once again THANK YOU!!!! X” (CH)

“Thank you for seeing us again today. I can’t believe W****** has been under your care for 10 years! I was so nervous at the beginning of his eye treatment all those years ago. He is so precious to me and it was hard holding him in my arms for his anaesthetic for his eye operations but I knew that he was in safe hands. Your detailed explanations and the time you give to ensure that I understand everything is really appreciated and I trust you completely. It is sad to move on to a new eye team and I wish you all the best in your work in Manchester…” (LL)

“I’d just like to take time today to thank you for operating on our son J*** (a year ago today). You corrected accommodative squint in his left eye. He was 8 years old at the time. Now he’s 9 and he, himself is happy that his eye doesn’t turn anymore, but more important for us parents his binocular vision has definitely improved through out the year, especially when playing sports such as cricket and football.
He is definitely more confident little man in his appearance and in himself. I just wanted to take time to day to thank you and your team once again for helping J*** improve his vision and his outlook on life.
Myself and my wife R*** will be forever great-full”.  (LT)

“I am sat outside and for the first time for nearly 30 years I can see the stars. This is all thanks to the surgery I had earlier this year and my new glasses I got today. Thank you Anna Maino…” (AS)

“Thank you ever so much for fixing my eye and making me feel more confident in my appearance. I am having my photo taken for my year book next week and it will be the first time I will feel pretty…” (EW)

“Thank you for your professionalism over the past few months.  The result is life changing, I didn’t know the condition was treatable, and I thought it would have to go through life forever closing one eye to work on things close up, and not being able to look people directly in the face when talking to them.  I am going to book a family photo session which I would have never done before because I was too embarrassed to look at my head tilt on photos” (Anon)

“I can not praise you enough. You were  caring whilst remaining professional and explained everything in detail and my Mum was also of the same opinion” (JJ)

“In your letter to my GP … you wrote that I’d had a ‘great result’ following my cataract operations. If you don’t mind me saying so, that is truly an understatement… The clarity of colours and long distance vision is so detailed that I pinch myself now to make sure it’s true” (ER)

“I was so nervous on the day of the operation but you put me at ease with your story of the chocolate orange so I brought you one as a thank you” (HP)

“We appreciate your care, time, consideration in dealing with …[our child]. You have cleared up many concerns we have had for 2 years despite multiple ophthalmology appointments. Most importantly, you have given us possible solutions that nobody else has ever mentioned to us” (S&AN)
